Electrical and Optical Properties of Poly(vinyl chloride)/ZnS Nanocomposites Exposed to Gamma Radiation

چکیده

Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) is considered one of the most versatile polymers due to its interaction with different additives. On other hand, binary sulfides have wide applications as zinc sulfide (ZnS), first discovered semiconductors. This study aims synthesize a nanocomposite material containing nano ZnS in PVC matrix surfactant compatibilizer agent evaluate optical and electrical properties when exposed gamma radiation. Our results showed that adding at 0.5 wt% concentration promoted system from insulating semiconductor material. Therefore, radiation has played an important role nanocomposites' changes conductivity, constant dielectric parts, refraction index, band gap, Urbach energy. Thus, our points development material, semiconductors, features useful for flexible electronics or optical-electronic devices.
